Day 37: 2 hours

I realized that my workouts--from warmup to the final stretch--take right about 2 hours. Strength takes about 55 minutes, cardio takes about 35 minutes, and post-workout stretching takes about 25 minutes. It's no wonder it seems like I'm devoting a lot of time to PCP. It's because I am!

I did supported chest presses today (kept my feet on the floor & used my legs to make up for what my upper body couldn't do by itself), and WOW, did that ever crank up the difficulty of the push-ups that followed. There was much shakin' happening.

  1. What's taking so long during the strength training?

  2. Ummm... I don't know... I take it that it's not supposed to take that long?

Maybe I should be trying to make my movements faster in each exercise? I move intentionally and try to avoid any momentum in the movements, but maybe I'm moving too slowly... How long should it be taking?

  3. The new batch of exercises have been taking me about 50-60 min or so. That includes the jumprope and no stretching before or after. I try and keep the pace up as much as possible in terms of the rest periods, but because of that sometimes I find myself doing the exercises maybe a little too quickly. For the exercises I try not to go to fast, but not too slow either (I guess a relaxed 1, 2, 3 count).
